What an adventure! We're back from the G8 Young Summit, which was held in Stresa, Italy. It was an honour to represent PEI and Canada at this prestigious event. We had an opportunity to network with young entrepreneurs from around the globe in bilateral meetings. At the same time, world-wide representatives from entrepreneur organizations drafted a Joint Declaration which was presented at the government G8, held the week following in l'Aquila, Italy. The Joint Declaration encourages government leaders to recognize the vital role of entrepreneurs in economic growth. The Declaration advocates the need for innovation to promote economic stability and programs to foster entrepreneurship in education. This Declaration also discusses specific recommendations for government leaders across four pillars of innovation - skill, technology, social, and green.
We have returned to Canada with new global business partners, and a renewed sense of our important role as entrepreneurs. The trip was also an opportunity for Kenny and I (Klasina) to regroup and refocus our goals for business, our marriage, and our life.
